About Jordan Riane

I'm not a blogger, I just tweet a lot. Once upon a time there lived a princess... Oh wait, wrong story. I'm Jordan, a twenty-three year old gamer chick living in Chicago, IL. When I'm not busy developing websites or working on my hosting company, I am probably hanging out beating up on my boyfriend Steve, playing COD4 (MW2 on 11/10 baby!), sleeping or trying to be crafty with polymer clay.

I was in an almost fatal car accident in June, so I'm stuck around my house keeping myself entertained. With all the extra time on my hands I've managed to join a million forums, post on Twitter too many times a day, develop a knack for polymer clay, test out too many iPhone themes and run over many toes with my awesome new wheelchair.

I am addicted to buying t-shirts from Shirt.Woot, Threadless. I believe I have over 15 Shirt.Woots, and 25 Threadless shirts. This doesn't even include the plethora I've bought from other places like Jinx, ThinkGeek and SysWear. I am addicted to buying t-shirts and I'm not afraid to admit it!

Other than the aforementioned I'm pretty laid back. I prefer overcast and rainy weather to bright and warm. I love the smell of BBQ on a grill in the summer but I would rather eat BBQ ribs with a fork because I hate being messy. I enjoy finding new local restaurants to eat at. I prefer custard ice cream over any other but if it has cookie dough mixed in then I'm game.

About iCupcake.org

After years of using atourworst.org, I felt it was time to move on to a domain that was more suitable for me. For the past few years I've been on a cupcake kick (which started with creating an Xbox Live gamertag using Cupcakes) so I tossed out some ideas and landed on icupcake. I do have a few other cupcake domains now that I feel like using but haven't decided on whether or not I'll use them.

Currently iCupcake is powered by Wordpress and a small amount of plugins. If you can take advantage of the functions.php you can really minimize the need for installing a lot of plugins.

The cute bakery & cupcake illustrations you see throughout the site are by Carrie Wendel of Dish & Spoon. The site's design inspiration came from my uncanny obsession with cupcakes. What better way to do a redesign then to kind of theme it like a bakery?

I also use Hannah.nu's script Domainish to keep track of all of my domains that I own. Although not active, I also use Jemjabella.co.uk's script BellaBooks to manage all books I am reading or have yet to read. If there is anything about iCupcake that you'd like to know, just send off an email to me.
