Gaming

COD

Gaming is a huge aspect of my life. Like most people in my generation, I got started with the NES with games like Mario, Super Mario Brothers, Duck Hunt and more. Over the years I would progress to other Nintendo consoles, and soon when my parent's got our first computer I jumped into 'PC gaming' aka Math Blaster, Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing. For awhile my video game life diminished until the Xbox made it's way to the public. I played my first games of Halo: CE and knew where my heart laid--with first person shooters. Gone were the days of colorful, cartoony-
mushrooms, and red hat wearing plumbers.

I didn't get into PC gaming right away. I had played games like Lara Croft, Doom, and Civilization II but for some reason it never drew in my attention like a console had. It wasn't until about 2004 that I started to dig a little into PC gaming. I was introduced to Counter-Strike in 2004 which reaffirmed yet again that FPS games were more appealing to me than any other gametype. It also introduced to me the desire for multiplayer--being able to play against someone else was the most appealing thing ever.

I currently game on my Xbox 360 and my PC, although more on my Xbox 360 given my preference for console and the controller. I frequently play Call of Duty 4: Mordern Warfare, Halo 3, Fallout 3, and Left 4 Dead. On the PC I have only been playing Call of Duty 4, and Halo 2. I haven't really found a new game on the PC to keep me attached to it much like I am with the console.
